Headglytch builds custom DS4-shaped controllers, one at a time, in Waterloo, Ontario.

Every build is tested on video

Before a controller ships, we record it being tested — functionality, every button input, stick circularity and calibration, with the timestamp visible in the recording. Nothing leaves the bench unverified, and you get to see your own build working before it's in your hands.

It's the part of this we're least willing to compromise on. A controller that arrives broken costs you weeks and costs us the relationship.

The parts

Every build runs a second-generation 8K board — your choice of the HyperStrike Heliumstrike 8K or the Firebird A* — with 8K polling and a 32K+ report rate, paired with JS13 Pro+ TMR stick modules.

TMR sensors are the reason these sticks hold their calibration instead of drifting the way potentiometer sticks do. If you've replaced a controller because the left stick started wandering, that's the problem these solve.

You own the setup

Both boards expose their full configuration through browser-based software. Firmware, mapping, calibration, tuning, config backups and mode switching are all yours to change whenever you want, without sending anything back to us.

We'd rather you be able to fix your own controller at 1am than wait on a support queue.

Built in Waterloo

Every controller is assembled here in Ontario and ships from Canada. For Canadian customers that means no customs charges and no surprise fees on delivery. For everyone else it means a controller built by a person you can actually reach, rather than one pulled off a shelf.

Our community is where support, order questions and warranty claims all run through, and where players sort out settings and setups together. Two thousand or so people at this point.
